The 140.6 Prep + Comp 24 Week - Level 1training plan contains both the Preparation (AKA base) and Competition (AKA Specific) phases of Ironman distance training. The level 1 plan is simple, based on hours and heart rate. The average weekly time allocated to training is just under 9: hours with Mondays off and the bulk of the time on the weekends.
